Fighting Children's Cancer
Aflac & Stockyards Championship Rodeo Team up to FIGHT Children's Cancer
Friday September 29th and Saturday September 30th the Stockyards Championship Rodeo and Aflac are teaming up to help FIGHT and bring awareness to Children's Cancer. Proceeds from each ticket will be donated to the Aflac Children's Cancer Center.
This year the they are honoring a young fighter, Hayden Sheppard
Hayden is 14 and lives in Gladewater Texas. He is a freshman at Sabine High School. He enjoys video games, target shooting, spending time with friends and family, and eating his favorite food: Tex Mex and Steak. Hayden also enjoys racing go carts and loves dogs. He is an artistic, funny young man who is good at mimicking accents. He is kind and easily shows empathy towards people if he senses something is wrong or sees them hurt or sad.
Hayden was diagnosed with a slow growing glioma in 2010 & underwent surgery in 2010 to have it removed. His glioma was located in his brain. The summer of 2016, MRI showed some tumor remained and he underwent surgery again in June 2017. He is very appreciative of his surgeon Dr. Andrew Reisner and Scottish Rite Hospital.
Please help us raise awareness and fight children's cancer. These kids are the strongest, bravest, and most fearless kids I have ever met, and they deserve our help.
