Chicken Fried Steak Recipe


  • 6 4-6 oz. twice tenderized beef cutlets
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 1 dark beer
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups seasoned flour
  • Peanut oil
  • Kosher salt to taste

In a large fryer or frying pan heat the oil to 375. In a large bowl combine the beer, buttermilk and beaten eggs. In a shallow baking dish place each cutlet into the seasoned flour punching flour into the meat using the knuckles. Then place the floured cutlet into the egg wash completely coating the cutlet. Then place the cutlet back into the seasoned flour coating the whole cutlet. Gently slide the breaded cutlet into the hot oil, cook for 3-4 minutes and then flip. Remove and season with salt when both sides are golden brown.
